ABOUT

Dr. Sultan B. Şengel completed her master's studies in 2010 on "synthesis and characterization of polymers and latex" in the Physical Chemistry Science Branch of the Department of Chemistry, and her doctoral studies in 2017 on "synthesis, characterization, and applications of different heteroatom-containing monomers and their nano and microparticles" in the Department of Chemistry. Having approximately 5 years of experience in the private sector, Dr. S. B. Şengel started working as an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 and is currently serving as the Head of the Department. Sultan B. Sengel conducts research on hydrogels, cryogels, aerogels, composites, macro systems, polymeric ionic liquids, and their applications in the fields of environment, energy, and biomedicine.
