Our department offers an interdisciplinary work environment that combines life sciences such as medicine and biology with engineering sciences. Engineers graduating from the department will meet the need for engineers with technical and scientific knowledge in activities such as the design, production, maintenance/repair of medical devices, systems, and support units, as well as in the increasingly popular fields of tissue engineering and implant materials in recent years.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering aims to train individuals specialized in the development of devices, methods, and software products, and to conduct research and application studies in the biomedical field. The Department of Biomedical Engineering has 5 faculty members and 2 research assistants. Our department, with the aim of strengthening its academic staff, is particularly focused on incorporating young researchers who have completed their Ph.D. in the field of Biomedical Engineering, and it does not yet admit undergraduate students.
